Scheduled a shipment from NYC to California. Went with Roadrunner based on a prior successful car transport. This quoted rate of $1865 which was immediately charged to my cc on booking. Note that this rate was higher than others and I was told that is because they do not "BAIT AND SWITCH". On pick up day, was notified a carrier was assigned. SO far so good. And then the carrier calls me to meet him in Lousiana (note pick up was supposed to be NYC)! Carrier ultimately canceled and a new one was assigned 4 days later. Now, new price, closer to $2K. I was told the wrong zip code had been entered so the quote had to be updated. This is a lie unless Roadrunner entered the wrong zip code (what I believe happened) in that I know it was correctly bid the first time. Customer service has been near impossible to get ahold of. Absolutely no accountability on the initial error. Completely unhelpful. I would NOT recommend this broker. While I understand how the broker process works, I feel my biggest issue has been a total lack of responsiveness, zero accountability on the Lousiana mistake and the incremental charge due to their mistake.
