DC car pick up

I appreciated the transparency of the site regarding the broker process and the quickness of the shipping process, but I was annoyed by the fact that I didn’t learn until the day of pick up that the driver wouldn’t be able to pick up my car in DC district limits because they lacked the proper licensing. So I had to drive the car 4 miles to the border and then get someone else to take me back home. I think Ship a Car should have been more up front about this possibility or vetted the drivers more thoroughly in their capabilities.

We are sorry to hear that you have to driver the car to the carrier. Please accept our apologies for not being able to set your proper expectations. The pick-up location we provided to the carrier was the DC address you provided. We were not informed that the carrier could not make it to DC due to licensing issues. We will surely deal with the carrier internally so we can continue to improve how we do our service.
